I'd give this one a miss actually. There are hacks that let you just constantly kill everyone on the server by hitting a key and the game calculates hits clientside and it lags really bad. So often you'll fire at a guy and he'll fire at you and by the time it's done lagging you both just kill each other. It looks hilarious.
I don't know if there is a new version out but in the version I played there was no choppers :(
